The problem of water, sanitation and hygiene in Africa and other developing countries has reached an alarming stage. Our people seem to have lost hygiene consciousness while the promise of "politician leaders" go largely unfulfilled. Another important factor centres on the people's perception of the problem. Majority desire to see a tangible improve in these areas but fell to appreciate that the effect n conscequences of long years of neglect and irresponsibilities of the people in leadership positions cannot be addressed overnight. In SRDEAfrica,we quite appreciate the enormity of the problem and has designed a mediun and long term program that would make a tangible impart once it takes off. However, we hope to work together with your organization as time goes on. Thank you I wish to sincerely congratulate you on this wonderful gesture. We have devised a special NIRMALYA “KALASH” which will be placed in public places for the immediate disposal of these flowers. These will subsequently be disposed by our volunteers at an appropriate place. This will help tremendously in the reduction of pollution in The Yamuna river. Since Delhi is preparing for 2010 Commonwealth Games, we also want to achieve the aforesaid goal in a very short time i.e in Seven months. If help to make Yamuna river pollution free of flowers and poly bags is granted, we shall leave no stone unturned to complete the work within the stipulated time to the satisfaction of all concerned.
